2023 CSPM Board - CSPM

2023 CSPM Board

Diane Barber Stine, Development Director

The New Year is always bittersweet for the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum (CSPM) Staff and Board. It is difficult to say “farewell” to wonderful and dedicated board members whose term has ended, but also exciting to welcome new volunteers to join the Board of Directors.  The CSPM Board is comprised of passionate and committed community members that help guide the Museum toward its envisioned future.

Thank you Bill Cogswell, Chrys Fotenos and Denny Weber

During the December Board Meeting, Museum Director Matt Mayberry and Board President Sarah McGuinness presented each member with a reproduction of an Architectural Rendering of the 1903 El Paso County Courthouse by architect A.J. Smith to thank them for their generous years of service.

Bill Cogswell

Bill Cogswell has been involved with the Museum since 2013 when he led the effort to raise funds from the Cogswell family to renovate the museum’s street clock on the north side of Alamo Square Park. The clock was saved from demolition in 1961 and donated to the CSPM by Dr. Walter W. Cogswell. Bill joined the Museum Board in 2017. During his time on the Board, he annually supported the Gift of History fundraiser. He is also active on the Acquisitions Committee where members help museum staff consider which new objects to bring into our collections.

Chrys Fotenos

Chrys has been involved with the Museum for over forty years in several different roles but deepened her involvement by joining the CSPM Board. She is passionate about the museum’s mission. During her time on the Board, she stepped into leadership roles of Vice President and President. She is active on the Acquisitions Committee as Chair.

Denny Weber

Denny joined the CSPM Board in 2016. During his time on the board, he joined the Clock Tower Society and shared about the Gift of History with friends and colleagues. He also served on the Marketing Committee to help strategize how the Museum promotes its activities.
