Lunar New Year Celebration Partner Form

Failure to abide by the Museum's guidelines for use may result in charges for damages and disqualification from further use.

There is no cost to present a booth, activity or workshop for the Lunar New Year Celebration and the event is offered to the community free of charge.

The Museum opens to the public at 10:00am. We ask that all partners with activity booths are set-up and ready by 9:45am. You may arrive as early as 9:00am. If you need to arrive earlier, please make arrangements with the Program Coordinator.

If applicable, please plan to have your activity available for the duration of the program (10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m.).

All cars must be parked in designated parking areas. Loading and unloading of equipment, tents, tables, chairs, etc. before and after an event is permitted by driving on the sidewalks close to the museum, but under no circumstances can vehicles remain parked on the sidewalks during an event. No vehicles are permitted on the grass. Vehicles must be off the grounds by 9:30am.

The museum is surrounded by metered parking. There is a City Administration Parking Garage on the corner of Nevada and Colorado.

If you have lots of supplies and need assistance, please make arrangements with the Program Coordinator prior to the day of the event. We have access to carts and can bring you through our accessibility entrance on the SW corner of the building to make use of the elevator.

No furniture or equipment may be moved without permission from the Museum Program Coordinator and must be supervised by CSPM staff. Under no circumstances may any exhibit cases or artifacts be moved.

In the Division I Courtroom, prior approval is required for all use behind the bar, and a Museum staff member must be present in the courtroom at all times.

Trash and debris must be disposed of properly and area must be clean, leaving it in better condition than before use.

It is unlawful for any person to injure, deface, destroy, sever, or remove any park property. The partner will be held responsible for any damage, vandalism, or theft of park property.

We do not allow any food or drink (including water) in the Museum (with the exception of the Education Room and Henderson Gallery). Please leave any food or drink at the front desk. Please do not pass out and food or drink at your indoor station (including candy).

We do not allow any flash photography (with the exception of the Division 1 Courtroom). We also do not allow the use of tripods without prior consent.

Absolutely no rice, glitter, confetti, bubbles, shaving foam, aerosol spray string, or loose straw may be used. This includes the use of decorative confetti and loose potpourri on tables.

Facilities, premises or equipment cannot be altered or damaged. Nails, hooks, tacks, or screws and the like cannot be used nor can adhesives for any signs, posters, notices, or graphics of any nature. Also, nothing can be tied or hung from/on the walls, furniture, railings, banisters, etc., inside or outside the museum. If such is done, with or without permission, and damages occur, repair costs will be assessed to restore premises to their original condition, ordinary wear and tear excepted.

If borrowing any Museum equipment (tables, chairs, tents, etc.) all items must be returned at the conclusion of the program. The Museum must be made aware of the need for equipment prior to the event. There is no guarantee we can fulfill your request.

Plans for decorations, including but not limited to floral, centerpieces, signs and banners are subject to advance approval by the Museum Program Coordinator and may only be provided from an approved florist. No objects from the Museum’s collection may be used for or as decoration, nor will objects and exhibit cases be moved to accommodate an event. Potted plants, foliage, wildflowers or home garden flowers are prohibited. This requirement exists to protect the collection from insect infestation.

No use or operation of fog machines, explosives or pyrotechnics is allowed inside the facility. Also not permitted are engine, motor or machinery that use oils, burning fluids, camphene, kerosene, naphtha or gasoline or any other flammable chemical, for either mechanical or other purposes or any agent other than electricity for illuminating the premises. Cooking is not allowed on the premises.

Anything that requires a flame is prohibited inside or outside of the museum - to include candles, sparklers, lighters, Sterno food warmers, etc. as this poses a fire and safety hazard to both the museum and our guests.

Please do not use any of the following props for performances: food, beverage/liquids, objects that are tossed/thrown (i.e. a baseball being thrown up and down), long objects that could damage cases/walls (i.e. golf club) or any items specified above. Please also note that we discourage any set changes or costume changes as our facilities are not conducive to these activities.

All walkways, entrances, accessibility access points must be kept clear.

The museum reserves the right to refuse to make its facilities available to prospective users for any reasons it deems inappropriate.
