Volunteer Information Session – History Detectives School Outreach Program
In the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum’s History Detectives outreach program, a team of Mission Agents (you!) visit local 3rd-5th grade classrooms and guide students through a series of hands-on activity stations.
History Detectives in training will work with invisible ink, decoders, magnifying glasses, and puzzles to analyze artifacts, documents, and photographs from the Museum’s collection. Are you up for the challenge?
Join us for the VIRTUAL information session to learn more about the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum and this exciting opportunity to share local history with regional elementary schools. You can access the session via this Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86500814992
Volunteers must have some experience working with children (teaching experience preferred). Volunteers will be selected through an interview process and participate in training and program shadowing. All volunteers must complete a background check and adhere to City policies.
