Join us in welcoming Timothy Valdez as the CSPM’s new Education Assistant! As the Museum Education Assistant, Tim is a part of the interpretive, education team. He is a Colorado Springs native and graduated from Pikes Peak Community College in 2020 with an associate’s degree in political science. Tim has worked for the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department of Colorado Springs since 2017. He started as a Recreational Leader at Deerfield Hills Community Center working in summer camps and before and after-school programs. Throughout his time in the City, Tim has led and supported elementary and teen camp programs for all community centers, becoming an expert in behavior management and has led behavior management training for multiple departments across the city. Tim has a passion for educating youth through positive structures and creating enriching and exciting programs for all!
