New Banners at the CSPM

Diana Harmon, CSPM Marketing Coordinator

Have you noticed something different around the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum? During the first week of August, the CSPM installed new banners around Alamo Square Park.

The staff is always looking for opportunities to promote the institution’s mission, values, and vision. With the older banners beginning to fade, we thought it was an excellent opportunity to make this change.

The taglines “Ignite Your Curiosity” and “Discover Your Story” and “Your CSPM” illustrate the CSPM’s mission and vision. The CSPM’s mission emphasizes how this institution belongs to our community– to you. Our vision is to be the source for igniting curiosity and inspiring discovery amongst all residents and visitors. These taglines along with impactful images of the Museum’s powerful exhibits, innovative programs, and diverse collections reflect that the Museum is “by, for, and about people.”

The color scheme for the banners complements the historic courthouses’ exterior and the flora of Alamo Square Park. Whether a resident or a visitor, we want you to see a bit of your story within the Museum.

Gift of History

The installation of the new banners coincided with the Kick-Off week for the Gift of History fundraising campaign, which supports the Museum’s mission to build a lasting connection to the Pikes Peak region by preserving and sharing our cultural history. We hope the banners will attract more visitors, inspire passersby, and spark – or renew - interest in the CSPM.
