Festival of Lights Family Fun Day

Join the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum for our annual FREE Holiday Celebration. Enjoy a full performance schedule, crafts, and activities led by a variety of community organizations. Don’t miss this special tradition that has brought magic to the Pikes Peak region for over 30 years!

Performance Schedule

  • 10:15 a.m. – Professor Higgin’s Magic Show
  • 11:00 a.m. – Taylor Elementary Trebles Choir
  • 11:30 a.m. – First Congregational Church Flute Choir
  • Noon – Almagre Saxophone Quartet
  • 12:45 p.m. – Palmer High School Orchestra
  • 1:15 p.m. – Summit Dance Works

Family-Friendly Activities

  • Write and send your letters to Santa with the United States Postal Service
  • Spread holiday cheer with festive face painting
  • Marvel at the incredible Slim Rails Model Train display
  • Learn about local wildlife with El Paso County Nature Centers
  • Create holiday ornaments and crafts on the main level of the museum!

  • This program is FREE and open to the public ($3 Suggested Donation)! Let us know you are joining the celebration by completing the Online Reservation below.
  • Parking is available for FREE in the City Administration Parking Garage located on the corner of Nevada and Colorado. You can also find free parking spots available on Vermijo, just east of Nevada – Click for more parking information.
  • The museum does not allow any food, drink, or large bags. Please leave any of these items at home, or check them at the front desk. You are welcome to take photographs but please turn off your flash. Thank you!
