Congratulations to our February Volunteer of the Month, Eric Billig! Eric began his volunteer journey at the CSPM after his wife, Barbara, started volunteering here. As a Front Desk Volunteer at the historic 1903 El Paso County Courthouse and currently the CSPM Annex, he welcomes visitors and answers their questions on how to explore the history of the Pikes Peak region at the CSPM.
“There are several things I like about volunteering at the museum. This first is meeting the visitors, the verbal exchanges we have, and learning things about them. The second is learning about Colorado Springs history from both staff and some from visitors.”
- Eric Billig
Eric believes that volunteering is a way to give back to the community. He has served in many roles at nonprofit organizations including El Paso County. He shares that he keeps volunteering at the Museum because of the staff and the visitors.
Eric is such a vibrant part of our front desk team. As soon as you walk through the doors Eric is there to greet visitors with a warm smile and a huge welcome. He is always helpful and willing to go that extra mile for guests and staff. It is truly a pleasure to have him volunteer for our front desk.
