ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Join the City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services staff and Cassandra Atencio, Former THPO, Southern Ute Indian Tribe, for a presentation and discussion on Until Forever Comes: This is Ute Homeland, a new exhibit at the CSPM. The result of five years of consultation with our Tribal partners: the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, and Ute Indian Tribe of the Uintah and Ouray Reservation, this permanent exhibition centers the ongoing history and culture of the Ute People in the Pikes Peak region, in their own words. Learn how the City of Colorado Springs engages in the cultural consultation process with our tribal partners related to stewardship, land and resource management, and storytelling.

The event is finished.
