We are thrilled to recognize and honor Sue Bruchy as the March Volunteer of the Month! Sue began volunteering in September of 2018. She has served nearly 500 hours at the front desk, greeting guests and setting a positive tone for the start of their visits. Sue first began volunteering to learn more about the history of our region but has also come to love connecting with Museum visitors. When asked what she has enjoyed most about her time at the CSPM, she shared, “The staff at the museum are dedicated and wonderful to work with.” The staff feels the same way about Sue!
It is always a pleasure to work with Sue. She brings a happy and positive attitude with her which translates into an amazing experience for the visitors. She is a true asset to our front desk staff and we are lucky to have her.

At the front desk, part of the fun is recommending exhibits for visitors to explore. Sue always likes to connect them to the Van Briggle exhibit, which she finds fascinating, “I can remember going to the Roundhouse to purchase pottery, and I lived in a house that was built in 1914 that had a Van Briggle Fireplace.” When Sue is not at the Museum, she stays busy as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer, golfing, hiking, and traveling with her husband. She also was sure to mention her “two delightful cats.”
Thank you, Sue, and congratulations!
