Exciting News-- $142,875 Raised

Earlier this month, the CSPM launched its Gift of History campaign to raise $130,000 in honor of its 130th anniversary.  We have exciting news! Together, we exceeded our goal and raised $142,875 to continue collecting, preserving, and sharing our community’s stories. Thank you to those who joined in this effort by giving the Gift of History!

Gift of History Reception

As part of the Gift of History, the CSPM brought together 150 passionate individuals of history and culture to explore the museum and discover how their donation would make a meaningful impact in furthering our mission through powerful exhibits, innovative programs, and extensive collections that reflect our region’s history.  Presenters included CSPM Board President Nancy Bernard, Mayor Yemi Mobolade, Curator of History Leah Davis Witherow, the Morales Family Community Contributors to Freedom to Thrive, Museum Director Matt Mayberry, and Development Director Diane Barber Stine. By the end of the event, we raised over $115,000.

Gift of History Sponsors

Our Gift of History Sponsors kicked off this campaign by contributing $11,000. Please join us in thanking them:

Thank you James and Helen McCaffrey Charitable Trust and Harold C. Ingersoll Fund!

The James and Helen McCaffrey Charitable Trust and Harold C. Ingersoll Fund matched every donation received on and after May 14 up to $33,000. This meant that a donation of $10 became a $20 contribution supporting the CSPM’s exhibits, programs and collections.
