Cultivating Creativity – March 2026 Volunteer of the Month

This March, we are thrilled to recognize Lync Salazer as the Volunteer of the Month! Lync first began volunteering for the museum in July 2025 as a front desk volunteer. He is warm and personable with guests and has always done an excellent job of making them feel welcome. We’ve also appreciated Lync’s willingness to support other needs, such as craft preparation. Lync shared, “I volunteer to learn more about museums as a whole and to support other peoples enjoyment of the space.”

When Lync returned from college in late 2025 he applied for our spring Museum Education Internship. In this role, Lync supports Youth & Family programs, including Little Learners and our K-12 field trips. Lync has also been very helpful with our community events, including the Colorado Nick public exhibit opening, and our recent celebration of the Lunar New Year. Lync is very creative and brings great ideas for programs.

Lync also shared that he appreciates the staff and “how nice everybody was when I was heading back to school at the end of August!” He is most interested in the history of the arts in the Pikes Peak region and stories of  “actors and artists who grew up or moved here.” In addition to his internship, Lync enjoys time with family, watching movies, drawing, and playing games with friends.

Thank you for your service, Lync!
