The Lane Foundation turns strong ideas into action by finding and supporting high-impact projects and leaders who will drive these efforts, in the areas of Health and Wellness, Arts and Culture and Education. By supporting Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum, the Lane Foundation aims to nurture a rich artistic legacy, that endures and enriches all of our community members for years to come.

In 2024, the Lane Foundation generously became the lead sponsor of the CSPM’s 50% of the Story: Women Expressing Creativity. Their $100,000 donation will support art acquisition and performance, exhibit production, and associated educational programming for the next five years.

50% of the Story: Women Expressing Creativity

Women have always been creative. Women have always been artistic. Women have always been artists. Yet, their work has remained largely unrecognized. This is not surprising considering women’s art represents only 8% of works collected by museums. 50% of the Story: Women Expressing Creativity transforms the CSPM collection to more accurately reflect the rich complexity and diversity of the Pikes Peak region.
