Self-Guided Experience – with Welcome & Introduction

"Until Forever Comes: This is Ute Homeland" Logo designed by Justin Gilbert, Southern Ute, of Kuvua Design.

Opening on June 12, 2025, Until Forever Comes: This is Ute Homeland is the result of five years of consultation with our Tribal partners: the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, and Ute Indian Tribe of the Uintah and Ouray Reservation. This permanent exhibition centers the ongoing history and culture of the Ute People in the Pikes Peak region, in their own words.

To ensure the information shared in the exhibit reflects the power, authenticity, and accuracy of the Ute People telling their own story, the museum will not be offering guided tours of the space. Your group is welcome to request an introduction to the exhibit where we will provide more information on this project.

Outdoor History Stroll: Law & Disorder

Museum staff member shares information to a large group on an outdoor walking tour.

New for 2025!  On this half-mile guided stroll through downtown Colorado Springs, explore how Colorado Springs officials fought to remain a “dry town” in “wet times,” the captivating story of how the Colorado Springs Citizens Committee worked to run the KKK out of town in the 1920s, and an infamous murder case that would lead to a groundbreaking development in forensic science. Please schedule at least two weeks in advance.

*Please note that while all guests are welcome, this tour is designed for an adult audience
