What did suffrage mean to the lives of women in the Pikes Peak Region? By
examining the historic working-class neighborhood of south downtown, we will discover women’s stories of work, activism and philanthropy. Learn how the 19th Amendment paved the way for women to actively advocate for themselves, their families and their community.
LOCATION
This tour begins in front of Loyal Coffee (408 S Nevada Ave) and ends at Local Relic (320 S Weber St). Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early if you would like to purchase food or drink at Loyal Coffee. Please do not sit inside or on Loyal’s patio unless you plan to purchase and food or drink items.
