Join the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum for a day of workshops, demonstrations, crafts, and family-friendly activities! Celebrate and discover local history and local identity through food, art, gardening and more. All workshops require pre-registration and pre-payment.

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your workshop to check-in at the museum, pay if you haven’t pre-paid, and find out the location of your workshop on the museum grounds. All workshops are $10 each per person, with a special discount price of $5 for members. For $30 (or $15 for members) a person you can register for an unlimited number of workshops. Children 12 and under are free with a paid adult!

*Please note that all payments for the Colorado Grown Festival are non-refundable. Your contribution helps support the CSPM mission to build a lasting connection to the Pikes Peak region by preserving and sharing our cultural history.

DEMONSTRATIONS:

  • 1-2pm: Get up close and personal with some of your favorite farm animals! Wishing Star Farms will provide an educational program and allow participants to interact with and touch the
    animals.
  • Cool Science will offer a demonstration booth throughout the day!
  • Join Pikes Peak Weavers Guild  for demos using fleece dyed and sheared at Rockledge Ranch!

SODA GARDEN & FOOD TRUCK OFFERINGS:

Two special additions to this year’s festival include a family-friendly “Soda Garden” and a variety of food truck offerings! These offerings will be available from 11am to 2pm on the eastern museum grounds. Check back to see who will be joining us!

ONGOING FREE ACTIVITIES:

  • Noon to 1:00pmWMD Bluegrass Band FREE concert in the gazebo!

    The WMD Bluegrass Band! Free concert in the Alamo Square Park Gazebo from Noon to 1pm, followed by a 30 minute jam session. Bring your instruments!

  • 1:00 to 1:30pm – WMD Bluegrass Band Jam Session! Bring your instruments!
  • Pikes Peak Permaculture will be on site to share information about the gardens in Alamo Square Park, discuss permaculture, and send guests home with baby plants and cut herbs.
  • 11am to 2pm – Challenge yourself at City Rock Climbing Gym slack line!
  • Hands On History interactive carts in exhibits throughout the museum
  • Face painting by Fanciful Faces!
  • LocalMotive shares information on local food
  • Colorado Springs Rocket Society
  • Kids craft stations
  • 30 minute guided tours (10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30)
