Art & Book Talk with Donna Lucey

At the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center – 30 W Dale St

Join Donna M. Lucey, author of Sargent’s Women: Four Lives Behind the Canvas, in a conversation about Elsie Palmer and other subjects of portraits by John Singer Sargent.

Drinks and appetizers will be served starting at 5 p.m.

Prior reading of the book is recommended but not required; the book is available for sale in the FAC Museum Shop and CSPM Museum Shop.

About Donna Lucey

Donna M. Lucey is the author of Sargent’s Women, the New York Times bestselling Archie and Amélie: Love and Madness in the Gilded Age, the award-winning Photographing Montana 1894–1928: The Life and Work of Evelyn Cameron, as well as other books, articles, and a feature-length screenplay. The recipient of two National Endowment for the Humanities grants and a 2017 writer-in-residence at Edith Wharton’s The Mount, Lucey serves as media editor at Virginia Humanities in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she lives with her husband, author Henry Wiencek.
