Collections

We have been a collecting institution since 1896.  Since then, thanks to our generous donors the collections now comprises over 70,000 artifacts —ranging from artwork to paleontological specimens– and over 6,000 cubic feet of archival materials, including manuscript collections, photographs, maps, blueprints and ephemera. The collection is at the core of our mission to build a lasting connection to the Pikes Peak Region by preserving and sharing our cultural history.  

The preservation of the artifacts and archival materials in our collections are our top priority throughout the construction project. In order to focus on the protection and preservation of our collections, the CSPM will pause active collection of artifacts and archival materials during this time.
